Many places in the Bible, we see that God is saying “I will give”. In Luke 21:14-15, God is saying, “Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer: For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.”
We live in a world seeking answers, questioning many a times, the very existence of God and ridiculing and persecuting those who believe in the one true and living God, Jesus Christ. Jesus said, as part of the persecution, you shall be handed over before kings and rulers (who would seek your testimony), in defense of the glorious gospel of his, but he promised to give us “words and wisdom”, when we stand before these powers. But we must be careful to not take Jesus’ words partially, since Jesus said ” I will give you words (mouth) and wisdom“, but he counseled us not to be pre-conceived with thoughts and anxiety to defend the gospel, because the defense of the gospel is by the presence, power and persuasion of the Holy Spirit of God and not by mere human words or wisdom.
Points to ponder:
Don’t be anxious about what you have to say to defend the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ, for the words and the wisdom will be given unto you.
Luke 21:14-15 (KJV)
14 Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:
15 For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.
